Summer League 2026

IMPORTANT DATES

  • The closing date to apply is Sun 21st June 2026
  • Matches start on Friday 3rd July 2026

This event is open to all, both Alpha TTK members and non-members. The aim is to come together in a friendly but competitive atmosphere during the summer months.


TEAMS

  • Each team will nominate a contact person. The contact details of this person will be made available to all teams.
  • Teams must be composed of 3 players (A-B-C and X-Y-Z in order of ranking points). No reserves are allowed.
  • The total points of the 3 players together should not exceed 1150 points, based on the published player points list.
  • If a team player is not in this list, then his/her individual points will be vetted and decided by the tournament manager.
  • The player points list is based on the latest published MTTA ranking list, with amendments that better reflect the level of players, taking into account the division in which they participated.
  • Inactive players who did not participate in the current MTTA season 2025/26, although included in the official MTTA ranking list, are not catered for in the player points list.

PRIZES

  • Total prizes is half of the entry money
  • Prizes for 1st and 2nd placed teams
  • 1st prize: 30% of entry money
  • 2nd prize: 20% of entry money
  • Prizes awarded in cash to the team contact person at the end of the tournament

FORMAT OF PLAY

  • Matches composed of 6 single games on a best of 5 basis.
  • The matches played will be:
    • A vs Y
    • B vs X
    • C vs Z
    • A vs X
    • B vs Z
    • C vs Y
  • A match can finish with a draw score of 3-3.
  • Points awarded to each team are 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss, -1 points for a walkover.
  • Matches will be played either on Fridays from 17:00 onwards or on Sunday mornings.
  • Teams will be asked for their availability and their matches will be scheduled on those dates.
  • Changes to the schedule are not allowed unless both teams agree and should there be the agreement to change the date, the new date must be within a maximum of two weeks from the scheduled date.
  • The tournament organiser is to be informed of any changes as soon as possible.
  • If a match is not played as scheduled, or within the two week time window, then the match will be deemed as null.
  • The format of the league will be decided depending on the number of teams that enter.

TOURNAMENT FEE

  • The registration fee for each team is €90.
  • This includes use of hall, tables and balls on the specified days and times.
  • If teams would like to play their match on another day/time then they would need to rent a table according to the standard rental rates.
