Table Tennis for Parkinson’s – €734 raised in Together for Parkinson’s charity event

Sunday 10th April 2022 was the date selected for the fund-raising event Table Tennis for Parkinson’s. A Parent & Child competition with a total of sixteen parent and child teams kicked off the event. Tables were available all throughout for visitors to practice some table tennis. The day finished with a Doubles tournament.

Parent & Child Tournament

The Parent & Child tournament was played in Davis Cup format giving the young players a chance to coach their parents and also compete together in the doubles deciding match. Alec his dad Matthias Wille won this competition with Jennifer and her dad Jeff Zeng in second place.

Doubles Tournament

The doubles competition of Table Tennis for Parkinson’s was won by the pair Aaron Abela and Sasha Pace. They won the final match versus the pair formed by Juli Restrepo and Diego Jassan.

Overall success

A total of €734 was raised from this event. A huge success that saw members from MTTK and also from other local clubs coming together in an amazing atmosphere in aid of Together for Parkinson’s.

I have no words to describe the amazing feeling following yesterday’s successful event.

It was awesome to see the MTTK family coming together in aid of charity. I am so thankful for all the club members and their families who participated, donated and helped in many ways to make this fundraising a success.
