Many studies are showing that a Table Tennis program of training offers many benefits as a form of physical therapy for persons with Parkinson disease. This is what the Ping Pong Parkinson Group at ALPHA TTK aims to promote. Table Tennis practice combines hand-eye coordination, motor reflexes, and brain stimulation all of which are beneficial to Parkinson patients. Reversal of Parkinson symptoms has also been proven in some cases. Regular Table Tennis practice was the catalyst for this symptom reversal on a considerable amount of persons.
2022 saw the start of the Ping Pong Parkinson Group at ALPHA TTK. A collaboration with Step Up for Parkinsons was launched and the first members began to practice Table Tennis at the club. Just a few months after launching the program, Adrian Casha obtained a Gold Medal at the World Ping Pong Parkinson Championships. A remarkable and unforgettable experience for all!
