17th Open Tournament – 13th April 2025
Tournament Time Schedule
The 17th Open Tournament on Sunday 13th April will follow the following timings:
1030 – 1400 Category 1 (top 10)
1400 – 1800 Category 2 (rank 11 to 20)
1800 – 2100 Category 3 (rank 21 onwards)
All ATTK members and also NON-Members are invited to apply and participate.
The timings of the tournament could vary slightly depending on the amount of entries received.
17th ATTK Open Categories (based on ATTK ranking list):
- Category 1: for top 10 of ATTK ranking list
- Category 2: for positions 11 to 20 of ATTK ranking list
- Category 3: for positions 21 onwards of ATTK ranking list
Rookies Category: for persons who have never had formal training in the sport
Notes:
(1) The top ranked ten entries will be accepted in Category 1. In the case when one or more of the first ten ranked players do not apply for the tournament, then his/her place shall be replaced by the next ranked player.
(2) Similarly, the same process will apply for Category 2. Following this placement, the rest of the applicants will be placed in Category 3.
(3) In the case when a newcomer (not ranked player) applies, then his/her category of participation shall be decided upon by the ATTK coaching team.
(4) The rookies category is solely for persons who are not receiving any formal training in the sport of table tennis.
Tournament structure:
- Category 1: Group stage (2 groups of 5). First in each group enters the semi-finals. Second and third placed in each group play a qualifier to enter the semi-finals (B2vsA3 and B3vsA2).
- Category 2: Group stage (2 groups of 5). First in each group enters the semi-finals. Second and third placed in each group play a qualifier to enter the semi-finals (B2vsA3 and B3vsA2).
- Category 3: Multiple groups depending on number of entries, followed by a knock-out event.
Rookies Category: Multiple groups depending on number of entries, followed by a knock-out event.
The Prizes:
The prizes are:
CATEGORY 1
- 1st place: €30 voucher for table tennis equipment
- 2nd place: €25 voucher for table tennis equipment
CATEGORY 2
- 1st place: €20 voucher for table tennis equipment
- 2nd place: €15 voucher for table tennis equipment
CATEGORY 3
- 1st place: €15 voucher for table tennis equipment
- 2nd place: €10 voucher for table tennis equipment
