13th Open Tournament on the 20th & 21st April 2024
Tournament Time Schedule
The 13th Open Tournament will follow the following timings:
Saturday 20th April 2024
0900 – 1200 Rookies Category
0900 – 1200 Category 3 (rank 21 onwards)
Sunday 21st April 2024
1330 – 1700 Category 1 (top 10)
1700 onwards Category 2 (rank 11 to 20)
All ATTK members and also NON-Members are invited to apply and participate.
The timings of the tournament could vary slightly depending on the amount of entries received.
13th ATTK Open Categories (based on ATTK ranking list):
- Category 1: for top 10 of ATTK ranking list
- Category 2: for positions 11 to 20 of ATTK ranking list
- Category 3: for positions 21 onwards of ATTK ranking list
- Rookies Category: for persons who have never had formal training in the sport
Notes:
(1) The top ranked ten entries will be accepted in Category 1. In the case when one or more of the first ten ranked players do not apply for the tournament, then his/her place shall be replaced by the next ranked player.
(2) Similarly, the same process will apply for Category 2. Following this placement, the rest of the applicants will be placed in Category 3.
(3) In the case when a newcomer (not ranked player) applies, then his/her category of participation shall be decided upon by the ATTK coaching team.
(4) The rookies category is solely for persons who are not receiving any formal training in the sport of table tennis.
Tournament structure:
- Category 1: Group stage (2 groups of 5) with 2 passing each group, followed by semi-finals and final.
- Category 2: Group stage (2 groups of 5) with 2 passing each group, followed by semi-finals and final.
- Category 3: Multiple groups depending on number of entries, followed by a knock-out event.
- Rookies Category: Multiple groups depending on number of entries, followed by a knock-out event.
The Prizes:
The prizes are:
CATEGORY 1
- 1st place: GEWO €30 voucher
- 2nd place: GEWO €25 voucher
CATEGORY 2
- 1st place: GEWO €20 voucher
- 2nd place: GEWO €15 voucher
CATEGORY 3
- 1st place: GEWO €15 voucher
- 2nd place: GEWO €10 voucher
ROOKIES
- 1st place: GEWO €15 voucher
- 2nd place: GEWO €10 voucher
