Almost all great ideas start out as a passing comment! A conversation between three friends in 2018 was the spark that started ATTK. The local table tennis scene desperately needed a new initiative. Widespread promotion of table tennis as a sport, encouraging discipline and fair-play were the main topics of discussion. The ball was set rolling. The search was on for a venue that could be used to host the new club.

The 7th July 2019 was the date when Alpha TTK started its operation at Naxxar Middle School with seven competition-level tables following a collaborative agreement with the school administration. From day one, the Klabb boasted a healthy number of athletes and this number has been steadily increasing since then.

Travelling forward just four months later, ATTK opened another training center. This time in a proper gym setup at St Dorothy School in Zebbug. Nine competition-level tables providing better training facilities for all, especially our more advanced players. However, it doesn’t stop there! The ultimate aim is to have our own premises that will be permanently set up for Table Tennis training at all times! Preparations are underway and the new hall shall soon open its doors.

Kurrently (please excuse the typo ☺) training sessions are held on a regular basis with our student base. Alpha TTK is also offering the possibility for casual play where persons can Rent-A-Table and play freely thus encouraging fitness and social events for adults and families.
