Malta Table Tennis Skills Camp #4

From December 21st to 23rd, 2024, Alpha Table Tennis Klabb hosted camp #4 from its ongoing training camp series. This special event marked a homecoming for Andrew Gambina, one of the club’s founding members, who returned from Sweden to lead the camp. Andrew’s expertise, track record and passion for table tennis brought an added spark to the camp, making it an unforgettable experience for all participants.

Andrew Gambina, one of the team of persons who establishing Alpha TTK back in 2019, has spent the past few years in Sweden. His return to Malta for this camp was eagerly anticipated by club members.

Intense and Rewarding Training

Camp #4 spanned three days and featured five intensive training sessions, totaling 12 hours of focused practice. Participants worked on improving their techniques, tactics, and mental game under Andrew’s guidance. His sessions emphasized discipline, precision, and the importance of consistency, pushing players to reach new levels in their game.

Free Training Thanks to VOPS Funding

One of the highlights of this camp was its accessibility. Thanks to the Malta Table Tennis Skills project, funded by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS) through the VOPS fund and supported by the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector (MIV), the camp was offered free of charge to all Alpha TTK members. This initiative underscored Alpha TTK’s commitment to making high-quality table tennis training accessible to everyone in the club. This camp is the 4th in a series of 5 camps that are being organised through this fund.
