With the season now in the break period, we have the time to contemplate on our past leaps of improvements! It’s been a very successful season in many aspects for the club. Looking more in detail at the teams’ performance in the Malta National League gives us great courage to continue to strive in our journey.
Seven teams for ALPHA TTK in the National League 2022/23
This season, we competed in the various league divisions as follows:
1st Division
ALPHA GEWO: Final Standings 3rd Place
Aaron Abela, Andrew Gambina, Diego Jassan, Giovanni Capri, Ruz Bacha, Sacha Pace
Things were looking promising for the team from the very start of the season. However, due to injuries and players moving abroad, it was not to be. Always super united, this team was a great example of hard work and dedication to all the club members.
2nd Division
ALPHA Calleja Ltd: CHAMPIONS!!
Jeff Zeng, Jessica Pace, Kevin Abela, Rachel Mifsud, Ralph Azzopardi
Great team spirit and equally great performances! Team ALPHA TTK Calleja Ltd declared champions of the Malta National League 2nd Division 2022/23. Well done to all the team!
ALPHA SENSUS: relegated
Alec Wille Piscopo, Akash Giashuddin, Fabian Fenech, Juli Restrepo, Matthew Farrugia
Many mixed emotions here… definitely a learning experience for all! After gaining promotion to the 2nd Div the previous season, the team will be returning to the 3rd Div. Always a work in progress guys!
3rd Division
ALPHA NEOFLEXX: Promoted!

Steady progress and hard work from ALPHA’s young stars. A well-merited promotion to the 2nd Division! The team was dedicated, committed and faced every match with confidence. Well done boys! On to more adventures next season 😉
ALPHA FLEXXON: 1st in Relegation Pool

Following a rather shaky start, the team were competing in the relegation pool during the 2nd round. However, the tables turned at this point with the team winning all its matches in the relegation pool 🙂
ALPHA DYNATEC: maintained place in 3rd division

The team has managed to just survive in the division. All team members gave their utmost, that is what matters, and we are all proud of this!
4th Division
ALPHA CODEXX: 3rd in the Division and PROMOTED!
Adrian Casha, Daniel Parascandalo, Jennifer Zeng, Keith Duncan, Kyle Pullicino
It was the first experience in the Malta National League for all players in the team. Thus, we are super proud of this achievement. The team maintained a steady presence at all matches with consistent performances. In the end winning 6 out of 10 matches over all the league. Throughout the season, one could observe the steady improvement and confidence gained by all players. We now look forward to the next season playing in the 3rd Division!
The Malta National League
The league is organised annually by the Malta Table Tennis Association and is composed of four divisions. Matches are contested on Monday and Friday evenings at the University Sports Pavilion near the National Pool.
